Hi! This has been debated in the team a lot, and for now, we haven’t implemented it for one main reason: most actions people use on their phones are phone-specific, such as sending a text message, sharing location, etc. Therefore we can’t switch them over to the hub.
On the other hand, all functions that are shared between the phone and the hub could be transferred, and we’re thinking of a way to make this migration simple.
For now, unfortunately, you’ll have to transfer all your Flics manually. Thanks for the feedback, we’ll consider this idea and keep you updated :)Angus CS supported this idea ·

Thanks for your response and for trying to get this working for us. I am loving my Hub, and have spent the time transferring all of my light switches over (most of my Flics are single use light switches). This would have saved me time and would be a help for your future users.

I would love a reply to this idea. I now have my hub, and cannot see an easy way to do this. Is this on the road map, does anyone else see this as a good idea?

Any idea if you can sort this out? I now have to individually configure 13 Flic buttons with three different actions and for all of the actions I have to configure the hue of the lights the buttons are controlling (which may take many steps per action to get it right).
Why can I not just transfer the control of the buttons from my phone to my hub (it is all in the same app)?

Yes did select white, but then getting the color wheel to be exactly on 270 degrees to get cool white is not particularly easy, but how do I select a warm white?

I agree. Choosing pure white is difficult and time consuming to get it right.

I have now set up all of my LIFX bulbs on the LAN connection and I am a happy Flic and LIFX user. Thanks to Flic.

It works the same way with the iPhone apps.
I really need this to be fixed. It is not a good look for the Flic App to have to contact the Lifx Server across the Internet for the Lifx server to then tell my bulbs what to do. Not only is it slow, but it is less than secure.
Apple has done this with their Home Kit integration. and it is so much faster than using the Flic for the Lifx bulbs.
Flic have done it for other products so why not the Lifx.
Now you have the Hub out to customers can you get back to supporting the buttons for us and making them work better too?

So now I have my Flic 2 hub and I want to move all of the flic buttons on my Original Flic hub to the new one and set up the old one in the granny flat. When will we be able to export settings from one device (phone or hub) to another (phone or hub)?
Can you not create an XML file with all of the settings (for selected flic buttons) that can be imported to another device (I assume it would delete all of the flics on the original as you don't allow a flic to be controlled by more than one device at a time).
Help us enjoy the developments you are making and the delivery of new capability by making it work for us rather than making us have to work to enjoy it...
