Http Calls (POST/GET) and REST API - Flic will become compatible with the WHOLE WEB!
Make Flic able to do standart POST/GET and maybe even REST api calls... in this way, you will be able to do REALLY anything with Flic!
Post your location? Done!
Open your door? Easy!
Share a post on Facebook? You name it!
In this way, Flic will become REALLY an open platform, users from all around the world will be able to do ANYTHING with it, not just what the devs conceived!

Completed since long!

I find no documentation on how to share your location through a http post as it says in the suggestion, is this something you plan on implementing?

Nice update

So this is still broken/missing. Without REST or proper http POST payload editing the feature is limited at best, and certainly limits the uptake from more advanced home automation users/installers.

The implementation in the app at the moment has two issues:
It tries to validate the URL; but it seems to do this based on it's own idea of what top level domains are valid. Inside a LAN I run my own DNS, so I have my own TLD.
For POST and PUT, there is no way to specify the payload.

Also looking for including params in the call without needing IFFFT

Did anyone succeeded in triggering POST HTTP calls that involve a payload?
I know the HTTP REQUEST action is present in the app, but there seems to be no way of adding params and/or headers: I find it very limitating in a LAN environment (while you can leverage IFFFT over the Internet). -

This is already in the app

You could use the maker channel on IFTTT, to ccheive this. IT can do those calls and can be triggered by any other channel so I assume (haven't tested it) you could make and IF flic THEN Maker.
Actually they've built this into the app now, they really need to start closing these when they implement them

I agree, this is what I need to control my Fibaro home automation system with a bunch of flic buttons around the house...

This is super important. If this feature existed I would buy lots of Flics. Does Flic have this feature?
