Dead man's switch: Perform an action when flic is NOT clicked
Use Flic to say that everything is OK and have Flic perform an action if it's not.
Send a warning if you forgot to take your pills, notify your personal trainer if you're slacking off or publish your secret wikileaks data if kidnapped by evilcorp.
The possibilities are endless.

This can be done on Android, but iOS would not let us do that.

Can you extend the length of the trigger time? Right now it appears to max out at 999 minutes (three digits), but I would like a switch that needs to be triggered at least once every 36 hours (ie, every 2,160 minutes)

Thanks for the reply. Why not implement this as a service? You would not need to be dependent on the host OS.

@Philip Schill, why not just fix Tasker integration .....?

I like it!! I'll see what I can do on Android. Hopefully iOS will follow.

@Chadd, I agree with you that this would be possible with Tasker ... if the plugin actually worked properly.

I feel like you could probably do this with the Tasker integration. I don't have a lot of experience with Tasker. But you can probably set it up to run a timer for X amount of time, and every time the Flic is pressed, it resets the Tasker timer. When the timer runs to zero, it performs some sort of action, you could even integrate it with IFTTT as well.
