    If flic would be integrated in a smart home hub this would be pretty easy. There are hubs that supports bluetooth, we only need to solve the problem with the range.

    May I suggest having a look at Ring. (Ring.com).
    I have a Ring doorbell that works really well with my Lifx lights through IFTTT.
