Mute/unmute microphone during calls/skypes/hangouts/etc

I spend a lot of time on conference calls on a variety of apps: plain phone calls, skype, hangouts, blue jeans, viber, whatsapp, etc

Each app's microphone mute button is in a different place and I'm always frustrated by the awkward moment it takes to unlock my phone and find the mute button before being able to speak.

I'd love a button to toggle mute/unmute that will work regardless of which app I'm using to converse

    I wanted this functionality few years ago and returned my flics and now came back to see if they have this feature and looks like there is no movement on this

    Any luck with this idea? I would be Happy enough if I could configure mute/unmute for normal phone and Skype separately. Any way to do this?

    Want to use flic as a mute button for system audio mic source. This way people can mute zoom/hangouts etc. without being at ghe keyboard controls or buying expensive mics. Would like flic to flash red when mic source is muted. Please advise

    This function would have a great market potential as you would target a hole new segment = business. Instead of selling one flick you could sell them in thousand to corporates that would provide the to their employees

    How do I unmute my hangout chat. I can't hear when chatting. I am on my mobile phone. I have tried to unmute it won't work. Thank you

    This is the main use case that I would get a flic for. I too am on a lot of conference calls and would use a flic to mute/unmute myself.
