It is not working in Flic android app! I've bought Flic only for play/pause on my Android TV and it can't do it! Terrible!

+1 for this on Android. It's one of the first things I wanted to use my Flic for and it's driving me crazy trying to work around it :(

I bought the Flic specifically for play-pause button, and it's crazy to me that it's not generic for all apps. Anyone know how to make an INTENT for this?

The current music control does NOT do this. My case is listening to music over Spotify or Apple Music. I don't always remember, who provides the music, but I simply want to skip a track or pause playing. Currently I have to have two flics, once for skipping tracks on Spotify and another one for skipping tracks on Apple Music. And I always have to remember which provider is currently playing the music.

An action simply working on the currently playing music/audio would be great – just like the lock screen music controls on the iPhone work.

A generic play/pause, next and previous track on whatever is in the foreground on iOS would be very useful. I use podcast app very heavily and would love the ability to control its playback.

Agreed. But doesn't the music play/pause control already do this? It works for me playing audiobooks.

Needs to be for Android as well. Play / pause / skip whatever is playing like Bluetooth headphones do.
