shut down the house (Everthing Off When I Leave Button)
turn off all lights appliances ect, that could be integrated with home automation platforms. Example: you are leaving the house, and don't want to run upstairs to check and see if you turned off the flat iron for your hair in the bathroom, so press your flic button you have placed right next to your door, signaling home automation outlets, lights, appliances, ect, to turn off.

Page turn in Amazon Kindle app (for iPad)
I would be great if I could use Flic to turn pages in the Amazon Kindle app (for iPad), so I don't have to move my arm while reading in bed any time I need to turn a page. With Flic I could just lay in bed, put the iPad anywhere I want and click to turn - would be uterly awesome! (Probably needs an extension for the Kindle app...)

Spotify Add to Favorites Button
In new cars, you have the buttons on your steering wheel to change tracks or increase volume to media playing from your Mp3 player or Phone. However, when you listen to something like Pandora or Spotify, and you want to FAVORITE or LIKE the song, there's no safe way to do it without picking up the phone while driving, which is dangerous. I would love for the FLIC to be able to be pressed to add the song currently playing to the Spotify Playlist OR for Pandora to "LIKE' it.

I'd like to put a Flic on my steering wheel to control my phone's music player. One click to play/pause, 2 clicks for next song
Using Flic as a simple music control would be a great use case.

It would be great controlling your lamps, your coffees machine or whatever you have connected to your Verisure smart plugs. Today I’ve to open the Verisure app for lighting my lamps. It would be so much easier with a Flic.

Zigbee or ZWave version
This idea already overlaps with a handful of others. Everyone is saying to support Homey, or support certain controllers.
I think it boils down to one thing. Make a Zigbee or ZWave version. It's up to the control hub manufacturers and the users to get the Zigbee/ZWave Flic working with their particular smart home Hub.
I have a 4 button ZWave remote that works great and it's very small. Seems like it wouldn't be too hard to make a 1 button ZWave/Zigbee flic.

Local Cab Order Flic :
Hotels, Bars or other locations are always in need of cabs. So the employe just presses the flic which orders a cab for the guest.
This is also for people at home. The flics can be branded and the marketing is done by the taxi firm.

Support pairing with a Bluetooth adapter on your computer
I believe flic is Bluetooth and, if so, if you can support pairing with a computer which has a Bluetooth adapter, we can write software for complex workflows using multiple flics.

Migrate phone actions to Flic Hub
I will shortly receive my new Flic Hub, but am dreading the fact that I have to now set up all my buttons again and re-create all of the actions against those buttons.
Can I not just transfer all my current buttons configured on my phone and their associated actions directly to the Hub without having to go through the add button to hub setup that seems to be suggested on your how to set up your Hub video?
Gus
13 votesHi! This has been debated in the team a lot, and for now, we haven’t implemented it for one main reason: most actions people use on their phones are phone-specific, such as sending a text message, sharing location, etc. Therefore we can’t switch them over to the hub.
On the other hand, all functions that are shared between the phone and the hub could be transferred, and we’re thinking of a way to make this migration simple.
For now, unfortunately, you’ll have to transfer all your Flics manually. Thanks for the feedback, we’ll consider this idea and keep you updated :) -
IKEA Trådfri functionality
Would be cool if functionality for IKEA's smart lightning system Trådfri could be developed for Flic.

Presentation remote capabilities
Adapt the app so Flic will work with either Apple's Keynote, or Microsoft's PowerPoint? I'm looking for a simple remote for presentations to advance to the next slide when using an iPad. I'd love it if I could use a single click to move forward, a double click to go backward, and maybe the hold to mute the image.

Brightness for Philips HUE
It would be great to be able to dim lights or make them shine brighter. Ideally to hold the button and this cycles to brighter until 100% and then down to 0% and then up again. (Like a classic electronic dimmer)
