  1. Dead Man Switch Sleep Timer

I’m looking for a way to make an audiobook stop playing once I fall asleep.

A possible way to achieve this is a button that starts a book playing for a set amount of time, say 5 minutes. If I fall asleep and fail to press the button again the book will stop/fade out.

I use Libby iPhone app, but it could be any thing that plays: TV, podcasts, YouTube etc.

    Thanks!

  2. Love the flic hub to be able to trigger things when it receives an infrared signal.

Nothing out there comes close to the simplicity of the Philips pronto but it seems that no one makes an ir receiver that can trigger events in other smart devices. Just watched Paul Hibberts YouTube video saying that flic can trigger alexa so adding ir receiver Capability and a nice simple ui would make me buy this. Better still if you interface directly to hue, smart things etc then the possibilities expand.

  3. Harmony Hub: Key presses in activities

Currently the Flic button can start and end activities.

    Please integrate key presses.
If i had some simple key presses (up/down/left/right/ok/cancel) then I wouldn't need my remote

  4. Flic to Philips Hue Bluetooth bulb, no hubs no delay

Wouldn't it be great if there was a way to connect a Flic button to a Philips Hue lightbulb with bluetooth straight away. No Hue hub and no Flic hub needed. Both have Bluetooth so must be possible.

  6. Connect to hub automatically (iOS)

When opening the iOS app, the first option is to choose the hub or phone action. An idea is to give the user the ability to only use their hub. Many may not use a hub, but buying and using a hub shouldn’t cause an extra step - it should be seamless. This option would automatically open to the connected hub and display the connected buttons. For often-used implementation, it would be much smoother, faster, and one step less.

    Thanks!

  7. Leverage no code platforms like Bubble (maybe also with BDK Native plugin)

I've discovered the numerous shortcomings of the current flic integration options. Seems my needs are more sophisticated than current options will accommodate.

I'd strongly urge collaboration with, thebdk.com and/or bubble.io to allow "non-programmer" types like me to create their own workflows. This gives flic an element of bespoke functionality without the heavy investment to come up with a its own scripting solution. It also opens up the flic hardware to a whole new audience of no-code developers.

  8. Use flic to work with Nike Running Club app

I like running with the Nike Running Club app on my Apple watch but i hate trying to pause/stop my runs through the watch interface. The watch screen is small, and i spend time looking for the right buttons instead of timing my runs accurately. It would be great if flic could work with the running app to pause/start runs with a simple tap.

  11. Shelly support before Homekit.

Shelly support before Homekit, shelly can run on custom Homekit firmware but it would be good to support it without the need to run custom Firmware on a shelly.

  12. Arlec Grid Connect

In Australia, Arlec is providing a swathe of smart home thingies through Bunnings. These are controlled on the local LAN using an app called Grid Connect. Grid connect is compatible with and can be controlled by Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa. Can anyone tell me if there is a way to connect my Grid Connect devices to Flic as a provider?

  14. Flic app buttons act like real buttons

Right now on the iOS app, pressing these buttons will open up the menu and modification settings for them. Pressing the three dots gives me the ability to action them.

I would much rather That be flipped.

As an idea, allow the user to press the buttons to action the item (single, double, and long-press), and lpress the three dots (or hit “edit” or something similar) to modify the actions.

This would make integration much faster and easier.

Even if that were an advanced app feature, it would make the user experience much better.

    Thanks!

  15. Android global media control

On Android, I would like the ability to pause/play and skip songs on whatever app is currently playing. Currently you have to specify what app the media control action is linked to but this is a problem when using multiple music apps or when switching between music and podcasts etc. I believe iOS has this ability and I have several bluetooth headphones that are able to do this.
    Thanks

  16. Allow control of BBC Sounds app on Android

The BBC have replaced their old iPlayer for radio app with a new BBC Sounds app, but this does not appear in the list of media apps that can be controlled (e.g. toggle play pause etc)

  17. Spotify -> Save currently playing song to chosen playlist

As the title says, the main reason i bought flic is because i spend alot of time driving with spotify playing music i haven't heard before. I wasnt to capture this music, but can't touch my phone as its illegal to whilst driving in the UK.
I had a look at IFTTT but i'd need to write a custom service to do the currently playing song lookup as its not something spotify offer currently.

  18. IR toggle

It would be good to be able to toggle/alternate IR commands with the flic. So I could press a button to turn on my AC, and then press the button again to turn it off. It would also be good to coordinate this on the hub. For example, so I could press one button to turn the AC on, and my wife could press her flic button and it knows to toggle and sends the off signal.

  19. Play/pause any app on android

It should be possible to toggle play and pause for the app that is currently active on the system.

Just like the button on a headset is doing.

  20. LIFX Alerts

    Hi,

I’m using a Flic button as my doorbell. I would like to use my LIFX lights as an alert when the button is pressed, by having the lights blink.

I currently have it set up through IFTTT however there is a delay.

Is there a way of implementing directly through the flic hub via local network?

Look like this is an option with Hue lights but not LIFX.
